Rocky Theaux
Construction has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up learning the trade from my father, who was a builder himself. At a young age, I was roofing houses and working on job sites, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of construction. That early exposure taught me the value of hard work, attention to detail, and doing things the right way. Funny how carrying shingles in Louisiana heat builds character faster than motivational seminars ever could.
Over the years, I’ve developed experience in both residential and commercial construction, learning the business from the ground up through real-world experience. Before going out on my own, I also spent time in ministry, environmental sales, and entrepreneurship, which helped shape my leadership skills, communication, and commitment to serving people with integrity.
20 years ago, I made building not only my career but my passion, and since then I’ve had the opportunity to build throughout Acadiana and the surrounding areas. Every project I take on is backed by years of hands-on experience, strong relationships, and a passion for quality craftsmanship. I take pride in building structures that last and in earning the trust of the people and communities I serve.
For me, construction has never just been about buildings. It’s about creating something meaningful for families, businesses, and future generations.

NextLevel Custom Homes is a family-owned company built on more than 20 years of experience in the construction and real estate industries. We are a Husband-and-wife team. Rocky and Christie Theaux have built their business on integrity, craftsmanship, and strong client relationships.
Rocky Theaux is a Licensed Residential and Commercial Contractor and Licensed Real Estate Agent with extensive experience managing custom home projects from conception to completion. Christie Theaux is a Licensed Residential Contractor and Licensed Real Estate Broker who brings additional expertise in design, and real estate services. Together, we also own NextHome Cutting Edge Realty, giving clients the advantage of working with professionals who understand both the building and real estate sides of the industry.
We are proud parents/step parents of a blended family of 4 boys. Two of our boys 30 and 25 are also in the construction industry. One as a Builder in the Baton Rouge area and the other an Inspector for Residential and Commercial Building Codes in the Dallas TX area. Our little late in life gift from God also has big dreams. 8 year old Ryker says, "I want to be a Billionaire Lamborghini Maker Super Hero." :) (We all have to start somewhere)
